Colleen Hodge at St. Michael Academy, Amelia Island, Florida once said of a Darrell House storytelling performance “Using your whole body to tell a tale, you become the story itself. One cannot take their eyes off you.”
This short movie of his picture book, Miller the Green Caterpillar, was recorded at the same time Darrell recorded Speed-B-B-B-Bumps, his 2010 Parents’ Choice Gold Award winning collection of original poetry for kids and families. He later added Patti Argoff’s artwork to the soundtrack and, voila, a movie was made. Enjoy Darrell telling his story in time with Patti’s incredible illustrations.
