Joining his father and uncles as they performed at the local VFW for the Friday night fish fry, Darrell was performing clear back in the 50’s. The performance bug never left him. He was featured in school stage plays, enjoyed a career as a radio disc jockey and decided to be a full time performer in 1973. Performing the hits of the 60’s & 70’s for adults, in restaurants, he still plays those songs in those venues. Creating music, poetry and stories for kids, re-focused his energy and defined the direction his performances would go for the rest of his life.
